Extreme Personal Development

Over the years I have taught firewalking seminars and Extreme Personal Development techniques.

These include board breaking Karate style, breaking an arrow in the throat and more powerful exercises such as bending a re-bar (concrete reinforcement bar) between two people placed in the throat and driving a 5 inch needle through the hand.

These are not performed to attest how macho you are, but represent a potent metaphor for recognising and eliminating personal fears and limiting thoughts. In essence the techniques are relatively easy, the challenge is the psychological fortitude required and overcoming the fear pushing you back.

This is a parallel I draw to life. Most things are easy; it’s the mental side that makes them difficult.

Some people actually manifest struggle through their fearful thought projections.

Out of all the things I have taught, the needle represents the greatest barrier for most people. Many would go white as a sheet just watching the process; others would feel sick and make a 360 turn for the exit. It’s easy to see who had the most intense internal barriers, just watching the thing, not actually doing it. It’s the same in life, people are afraid of things they have not even attempted.

When trained, there is no pain or blood doing the needle. It creates a state of pure bliss and egoic freedom. It’s used to empower you through the process of the seemingly impossible. It releases a level of awareness few will ever experience and know.

Try being afraid after that!

I talk about authentically overcoming fear in my new book “Small Wants Little Needs”
